Episode Fourteen

They headed upstairs the housekeeper helped Jennifer with her luggage.

Jennifer couldn't believe that she'll be sharing a room with Henry.

She hasn't called her best friend Marilyn, after that failed wedding incident and she knows that Marilyn will be worried sick for her, so she dailed her number and she answered.

📞 Hello Marilyn..

📞 OMG, bestie how're you doing? I’ve been searching all over for you, where have you been? You almost gave me a heart attack," Marilyn blabbed.

📞 Relax Marilyn, I'm perfectly fine. I actually wanted to inform you that I'm married.

📞 What?!! I don't understand, please don’t tell me that you sacrificed your happiness because of those two fools? Who did you get married to? She asked.

📞 Calm down girl, I'll like you to pay me a visit, I'm going to text the address to you later," Jennifer said.

📞 Alright bestie , I'll come," Marilyn said and dropped the call.

Such a crazy girl," Jennifer muttered with a smile.

She got up and began unpacking her belongings and placing them where it is supposed to be, and Henry Immediately opened the door and walked into their room

“Hey, aren't you supposed to knock before entering? Have you forgotten that you aren't the only one sleeping in this room? what if I wasn't putting on clothes when you walked in?" Jennifer asked.

Well, there's nothing wrong with that, after all I'll be seeing it sooner or later,” Henry said smiling.

“You're so shameless," Jennifer said with a serious face.

“I know, and I'll continue to be shameless, only for you my love,” Henry said and sat down on the bed.

Come and sit with me, I've something to tell you something,” he said.

Are you blind, can't you see that I'm unpacking my things," she blunted out.

”My love, we'll do that later, just come and sit with me,” he said.

Jennifer dropped her stuffs and sat down beside Henry.

" I want to give you two rules that you will have to follow. Firstly, I don’t want you to engage in any house chores like cooking, washing or even sweeping. And secondly, If night falls and I'm not back, please don’t look for me, okay? Henry said.

“So what if I don’t abide by the rules? Jennifer asked.

“Then you'll have to give me a kiss for every rules you break,” Henry said and winked at Jennifer.

Episode Thirteen

They left the room and went back to the living room.

The moment they entered, Mr Emmanuel could see the curiosity in their eyes. Maybe waiting for his answer.

“Thanks so much Dad for giving us your permission,” Henry thanked Jennifer's dad.

It's Alright my son, I will do anything for Jennifer's happiness," Mr Emmanuel said.

“Well, we should get going now, thank you Emmanuel for your great hospitality,” Mr George (Henry's dad) said.

“Jennifer, you'll be going with them," Jennifer's dad said and she smiled.

Alright daddy, I'll go into my room and pick some of my belongings,” she said and left.

Jennifer came down after some minutes with her luggage and took it from her and they head outside.

“Take care daddy, I'll be coming to visit you from time to time," she said.

“Take care too my angel," Jennifer's dad said and waved at her.

Jennifer couldn't believe that she's leaving her father after 25 years of staying with him.

" It’s Alright Jenny, you can cry if you feel like,” Henry said.

Hold on a minute, how did you detect that I wanted to cry? Jennifer asked still surprised by Henry's words.

" I think you should look at yourself in the mirror, it's showing all over your face, your eyes are all welled up, I'm aware that you are going to miss your dad, but don't forget that you can always visit him anytime you want”. Henry said and Jennifer looked at him but his attention was focused on his driving.

After some minutes of driving, they stopped their mansion. 

Henry stepped out of the car and opened the door for Jennifer.

“Wow, he's such a gentle and caring man," she thought.

An middle aged man ran towards them and greeted them.

“Ehhhmm Jenny meet my ssistant Mr Godspower, Godspower this is my wife,” Henry introduced.

It's my pleasure to meet you boss lady,” he greeted.

”I love that name Godspower," Jennifer said.

Thank you," Mr Godspower said.

Episode Twelve

“That's nice, I can see that you truely love her, I can only give you my consent  if you promise me that you'll take good care of her. I want you to assist her in forgetting about what happened, you also have a promise me that you'll never hurt her,'’ Mr Emmanuel said.

“I promise you dad," I'll do everything in my power to make her happy,” Henry replied and Jennifer's father took a deep breath of relief.

“Henry, I hope you to know that my daughter doesn’t really care about your money, all she need is your time and your attention to make her feel secured and most importantly, don’t stop reminding her how much you love her.

Making her feel special will melt her frozen heart, I know that she doesn’t love you yet, but you must fight for her love. I'm entrusting her in your hands because I won’t be around to assist her,” Jennifer's father concluded.

“Alright dad, I also have plans in making your company stable, I'm aware that it's about to go down because you ended all ties with Kelvin's company, but don’t worry I will assist you in building it up,” Henry said.

Mr Emmanuel was able to figure out the reason why his daughter decided to marry Henry and he also knows that Henry loves her so dearly.

He only wish that his daughter will see how much Henry loves her, but he doesn't think that Jennifer is willing to open up her heart again for any other man, but as long as Henry is by her side, she will surely love him back

“I am glad to know that my daughter is in safe hands. Let’s go Henry, they're waiting for us," Mr Emmanuel said.

They left the room and went back to the living room.

Episode Eleven

“My daughter, you don't know how happy I feel to hear this from you, don’t worry about that my dear, I'll love to meet them," her dad said.

Thank you so much daddy," she said and quickly ran outside and saw them standing.

You can all come in now, he wants to see you," Jennifer told them.

Henry felt so happy when Jennifer told them to come in.

They walked inside the house and found Jenny's father sitting down in the living room

Henry's parents greeted him, it looks like they've known each other somehow.

“Henry, please come," his dad said and Henry slowly walked to where they are.

“Meet my son Henry, he wants to marry your daughter, Henry this is Mr Emmanuel Dollars, he's my old friend in school’' Henry's dad introduced.

Good day sir,” Henry greeted and Mr Emmanuel frowned.

No Henry, don't call me sir, am I too old? Mr Emmanuel asked and pouted his lips.

“I'm sorry, dad,” Henry corrected himself.

“Alright, that’s better. Please you can all sit down while I talk to Henry privately upstairs,'’ he said and Henry's parents sat down.

“Henry, please come with me,” Mr Emmanuel said and Henry followed him into a well furnished room.

Henry immediately recognized the room as Jenny's room, everything inside is her favorite.

Henry knows everything about her.

Her favorite colour, her favorite flower, movie, Food, he actually learnt how to cook because of her.

Henry loved her right from the first day  he set his eyes on her. They went to the same college but they didn’t actually get to see each other personally.

So he felt so excited that he's getting married to her.

Eeehhm, this is Jennifer's room,'’ Jennifer's father said.

“Yes, I know," Henry responded immediately.

"How did you know? Jennifer's dad asked curiously and sat down on the bed.

“I know everything about her, including all her favorite stuffs, her likes and her dislike," Henry said.

Episodes Ten.

She hugged her and Mandy was about taking Jennifer to her room but Henry playfully pulled Jenny away from her.

You're welcome to our family my dear,“ Henry's mom said and Jennifer smiled.

“Now Henry, tell me what's your plans? His Dad asked.

“Actually dad, we'll all be heading to her father’s house today, I know that it might be difficult for him to accept everything, all we need to do is wait outside while Jennifer talk to him, then we will go and meet him if he has accepted us,” Henry said.

When are we leaving? Jennifer asked and Henry checked his wrist watch.

We'll be heading to your dad's house in the next 2 hours, so we can have enough time to chat,” Henry said and Jennifer went closer to him.

“You got a lovely family,” she whispered softly in his ear.

“That's exactly what I told you , but we're actually shamelessly playful, it runs through our blood,” he said with a smile and they stood up to leave.

The whole family got up to leave for Jennifer's family house after hours of discussing, they've already gotten themselves prepared so they all got into their cars and drove off.

Jennifer and Henry drove in a car, while Henry's parents drove in another car.

They stopped in front of Jennifer's family house after few minutes of driving.

" Jennifer, go and explain things to your dad, while we wait for you here", Henry's dad said.

Alright, dad," she responded.

Jennifer stepped inside the house and saw her father in the living room.

Good day daddy,'’ she greeted her dad happily and he was surprised.

Good day my angel, you look so happy, did something good happened? He asked curiously.

“Yes daddy, I'm getting married’, she said happily.

What?!! I don't get you, please don’t tell me that you want to sacrifice your happiness because of what happened,'’ her dad said.

“No daddy, I'm getting married to Henry Japhet.

“Henry Japhet?! The richest bachelor in Africa? Her dad asked.

Yes daddy, and guess what? She said.

My dear, you know that I'm not good at guessing," her dad said.

Alright dad, Henry and his family are all waiting for your approval outside before coming in.

That's why I'm here, daddy I want to start a new life, I don’t want to live in the past," Jennifer told her dad.

Episode nine.

Jennifer stepped down from the car, still admiring the beautiful mansion.

Wow, here's so beautiful Henry," she said.

“But not as beautiful as you,” Henry said and Jennifer blushed.

Henry laughed the moment he realized that her face have turned red.

" Don’t worry Jenny, it will soon be your home, and you will admire it everyday. l

Let’s head inside, they're waiting for us, I’ve already informed them about our coming,” he said and took her hand.

“Wait Henry, are you really sure that your parents will accept me?” Jennifer asked looking nervous.

“Of course they will, infact they’ve accepted you already, I just want to introduce them to you,” he said as he pulled her along inside the house.

Henry and Jennifer walked into the house and saw them laughing and discussing.

They stopped laughing the moment they saw them walked in.

Henry went forward and greeted the ones Jennifer assumed to be his parents, while she stood there staring at the lovely family in front of her.

They are quite wealthy but they still create time to be together.

They kept staring at Jennifer until Henry broke the silence.

“Eeehhmm, mom meet Jennifer and Jennifer this is my mom,” he introduced her.

Good day ma’am," Jennifer greeted.

“Oh no, please don’t address me as ma’am, I'm now your mother. Come and give mummy a hug,” Henry's mom said and spread her arms and Jennifer went closer to her and hugged her.

Thank you Mum,” Jennifer greeted still admiring her beauty, Henry is the exact copy of his mother.

The same eye colour, nose and mouth

He looks pretty like a girl, but he have a cold heart.

Hold on, the Henry I met few minutes ago is totally different from the Henry I'm seeing now, he was serious and dangerous outside but inside he is still a mummy’s pet. The way he talks now is totally different from the way he talks outside, strong aura and a soft heart," she thought.

“Daddy, this is Jennifer and Jennifer meet my dad,” Henry introduced.

Good day sir, Jennifer greeted him.

"Good day my child, you can also call me daddy,” he said and Jennifer hugged him too.

This is my younger sister Mandy,” Henry said.

“You're welcome to the family sister-in-law,” Mandy said.

“Thanks Mandy” Jennifer replied with a smile.

She hugged her and Mandy was about taking Jennifer to her room but Henry playfully pulled Jenny away from her.

Episode Eight

We'll be leaving for the marriage registration office to fill the forms and make our marriage legal," Henry told her.

After that, we'll go meet my dad tommorow," she told him.

Alright, no problem. If that’s what you want to do then it is okay by me,'’ Henry said.

Gosh, he's so understanding, I just hope that he wins my heart over before I complete my revenge," Jennifer thought to herself.

I'll definitely make Kelvin and Gloria pay for everything they did to me, they'll surely see my wrath," she added.

(The Next Day)

Jennifer stepped out of her house and noticed how handsome her husband  appeared to be. She felt really blessed and proud of him.

“Good morning Love,” Henry greeted her.

“Did you just called me love? When did I start becoming your Love, hope you haven't forgotten we made a deal?" Jennifer reminded him.

“Oh yes, I haven't forgotten our deal, but you didn't include me not calling you romantic names on the deal,” Henry said forming an innocent face.

“Whatever, where are we heading to now? She asked still trying to adjust her hair.

“Well, firstly we'll be going to see my parents,” Henry said and she took a deep breath.

Jennifer couldn't help but wonder how his parents will react to their marriage.
Will they accept me? Well there’s only one way to find out," she thought.

“Hey Jenny, I know exactly what you're worried about, but you don't need stress yourself about it. I've a lovely and shameless family, they will accept you more than your expectations,” Henry said and Jennifer was surprised.

“Hold on, how did you know that I was thinking about your family? She asked curiously.

“You see, your mood changed when I said that we are going to see my parents,” Henry said scratching his head.

Wow, that's interesting. Can we go now." She said.

After driving for some minutes, they went inside a huge mansion.
The environment was beautifully furnished.
Jennifer stepped down from the car, still admiring the beautiful mansion.
Wow, here's so beautiful Henry," she said.

“But not as beautiful as you,” Henry said and Jennifer blushed.

Episode seven.

“Hold on, don't you recognized me? Henry asked her and she shook her head.

Look at me properly," Henry said, and

Jennifer looked at him again.

“Now do you remember me now?” He asked again.

“No I don’t know you.” She replied.

Alright, My name is Henry Japhet, the CEO and the founder of Japhet Oil & Gas companies.

“Thank you so much for saving my life Mr Henry, I'll get going now,” Jennifer said and was about to leave.

Hold on, I've a deal for you,” Henry said.

What's the deal all about? Jennifer asked and turn towards him.

“I'm willing to assist you in getting your revenge on Kelvin but only on one condition," Henry said.

And what's your condition," Jennifer asked with tears on her eyes.

You will have to marry me," Henry said.

“I'm sorry but I can't get married to you, I'll get my revenge myself, I don’t need you to assist me on that,'’ she said.

“And how do you plan on achieving that?

Do you really think it's by jumping off the building just to end your life? Henry asked.

You're free to divorce me after the revenge, that's if you want, so it shouldn't bother you. Think about my offer but you only have five minutes," he told her.

“What? Five minutes only?!!, How do you expect me to make such an important decision in just five minutes?” Jennifer asked as she wiped away her tears.

Henry stepped into his car and drove off in high speed. Jennifer have to be strong for me, death isn't the solution, I'm going to assist in healing her broken heart and get her revenge, that is if she will accept my proposal." He thought to himself.

Henry stopped in front of the company.

All he needs to do is to convince her not to kill herself.

Henry went up to the last floor of the building and saw Jennifer standing at the edge of the building.

She wanted to jump but Henry was fast enough to catch her and pulled her down.

“Who the hell are you?” Jennifer asked while struggling to move away from his grip.

Let me go, I just want to die," she yelled.

“Do you really think that death is the only way out, I actually thought that you are smarter than it but with what you were about to do, made me to realized that you have a little or no brain," Henry told her.

“You actually want to kill yourself? Have you for once thought about your father and friend?

How will they react or feel when they gets the news of your dead?” Henry added.

Immediately, Jennifer turned and looked at Henry with tears in her eyes.

OMG! Why the hell does she looks so beautiful while crying," Henry thought to himself.

His heart melted the moment he saw her tears.

“I will never spare those people that did this to you Jenny.

You cried out tears today but their own will be blood," he told her.

Episode five

Jennifer knew that it will be very difficult for her father if she dies, but she felt it will be better if she wouldn't be a burden to him anymore.
Jennifer walked to the edge of the building, about to jump off but a strong hands caught her just in time and pull her towards himself.

“Who the hell are you to stop me?
Let me go, I want to die," she yelled.

His name Henry Japhet, the only son of Mr Japhet and also the owner of the largest company.
He's very dangerous and most feared by everyone, well except for his family members.
He has actually been looking for a way to destroy Kelvin Mascot because of what he did to Jennifer.

Henry has known Jennifer since secondary school and he fell in love with her at first sight.
Back in school, he always follow her wherever she goes, but finds it difficult to express himself to her.
When he came to know that Jenny is getting married to Kelvin Mascot, he felt so angry and he ended up diverting his anger to his employees.

Henry managed to figure out that Jennifer will want to kill herself after her failed wedding, but he came up with a plan of making a proposal to her.

Kelvin doesn’t know that he'd lost a rare gem for a fake gold. He was blinded by infatuation and ended up leaving the person that loves him," Henry thought to himself.

Henry knew that Jennifer will be devastated, so he ordered his men to trace her every move and get back to him if she wants to do something crazy.
Henry placed a call to one of his trusted men.
📞 Hello, where is she? He asked.

📞 She is on top of their company's building about to jump off.

📞 Alright, I'm on my way," Henry said and hanged up.

Episode four

I'm really sorry Jenny, it was all my fault, I should have allowed you to go after your dreams, I was so selfish to believe that you will be happy with that Kelvin,’ Mr Emmanuel said regretfully.

It’s Alright dad, it's in the past now and it's also too late to start regretting, besides I know that you only wanted the best for me," Jennifer said sadly.

I'm so sorry my angel," her dad apologized again.

It's okay dad, You're making me to cry you know.

Jennifer kept on telling her dad that it's okay but deep down in her heart she know that it wasn't okay.

She felt like killing herself because it was too much for her to bear.

“How could my own dearest sister do this to me?” She asked herself.

Jennifer still couldn't believe that her own sister could actually do that to her.

The thought of killing herself kept on occupying her mind as felt her existence is meaningless at the moment.

The image of our family is now ruined. “How will I be able to face the public?

I should have figured out earlier that this will happen when my heart kept giving me signal before the wedding, but I'm so stupid for not listening to it," she said as she blamed herself.

Jennifer took out the black robe that she wore on her mother’s funeral and drove to their company.

“All I need to do is to jump from this building and I will die peacefully," she thought.

Jennifer felt that the pain will not be much, compared to the one she's feeling right now.

She has never been betrayed and what happened on her wedding day was actually her first time.

And it hurts her so much that, the person she trusted and loved was actually the person that betrayed her.

She knew that it will be very difficult for her father if she dies, but she felt it will be better if she wouldn't be a burden to him anymore.

Episode three.

For your information, I planned everything with my sweetheart Kelvin, I convinced him to date Jennifer for four good years to enable her fall deeply in love him with all her heart and then put her to shame on the wedding day, I'm so happy that my plan worked perfectly, ’ Gloria said smiling mischievously. My dearest sister, I'll advise you go and look at yourself in the mirror and see how miserable you are right now,” Gloria added.

“So this was all your plan right? You ruined your own sister's life just because of your childish jealousy, I gave you all the love a father would give to his child and with what you just did, I'm ashamed to call you my daughter. So from today onwards, I Emmanuel Dollars thereby disown you, you are no longer a member of this family and as for you Kelvin, I'm disconnecting all ties I've with you, including your family and your company,” Mr Emmanuel said with an angry voice.

“Let me remind you old man! You know that if you carry out your threats, your company will go bankrupt," Kelvin said with a mocking face.

“I don’t give a damn about that, I only want both of you out of our lives, even at the expense of my company, I don’t give a damn", Mr Emmanuel said as he took Jennifer's hand and left the wedding venue.

This is actually the second time in Jennifer's life that she had seen her dad crying.

Why did Gloria have to do this? I loved her with all my heart,” she silently muttered.

Jennifer's heart is now broken into pieces, not because of what Kelvin did but because her own sister whom she loved so much betrayed her.

“No no, it's unbelievable, this must be a dream. I just need to sleep and wake up then everything will be gone.”

Jennifer was awoken by the sound of her alarm. She opened her eyes and everything that took place yesterday flashed back into her memory.

So it actually happened, It wasn't a dream.. Kelvin really left me and my sister betrayed me," she muttered with a teary eyes.

Jennifer's heart felt so heavy, she wasn't sure if she could bear it anymore.

She didn't realized when her dad walked inside.

Episode 2

Do you Mr Kelvin Mascot take Miss Jennifer Dollars to be your lawfully wedded wife? The priest asked him.

Jennifer looked at her soon-to-be husband and smiled but to her greatest suprise Kelvin didn’t show any signs of happiness, he looked at Gloria and smiled then he looked back to her and frowned.

Jennifer could detect that the look in his eyes is definitely not love but anger and hatred.

Kelvin pushed Jennifer and she fell off the stairs but Marilyn was there to catch her.

Tears circulated in Jennifer's eyes as she stared at him in shock.

“Did you in your widest imagination think that I'll marry such a low life like you when I have a precious Jewel beside me? You're nothing but a very big mistake and a hater, I'm so in love with Gloria and she'll be the one that I will get married to,’’ Kelvin said with an angry voice.

“What're you talking about? What do you mean by that Kelvin, today is our wedding day, we've both waited so many years for this day, Kelvin please don’t do this,’' Jennifer said as tears kept on rolling freely down her cheeks.

But to her greatest surprise, Kelvin pulled her away from him like she was a plague.

“Will you stop this stupid act of yours Kelvin, how could you do this to my daughter after everything? And as for you Gloria, how could you have the heart to backstab your sister in such a way?” Jenny's father said moving closer to where they stood.

Actually father, I just got my revenge, you and Mommy gave so much love to Jennifer and paid less attention to me, even at Mom's sick bed, Jenny was the only one who got to see her before she died. Everyone will be present, her father, her best friend (Marilyn), and most importantly her beloved sister (Gloria)

Jennifer was sitting in her room waiting patiently for her dad to walk her inside the hall.

I'm so nervous Gloria, what if something goes wrong? what if I slip while walking? what if the ring falls down??” she asked.

Shsshhh Jenny, everything will be alright, just relax yourself and take a deep breath, okay?’ Gloria said and Jennifer took a deep breath.

Yes you're right, everything will go perfectly as planned, Jennifer said.

But her heart kept on telling her a different thing. 

“Why do I feel weird, like something bad is going to happen today.

I need to discharge such thoughts from my head or else I'm going to mess up,” Jennifer muttered to herself.

Jenny, are you ok?” Marilyn asked.

“Oh yes, I'm  fine. Apart from the fact that I'm having a bad feeling that something will go wrong,” Jennifer replied

It’s fine Jenny, nothing will go wrong, she said.

Thanks so much Marilyn, I really don't know what I would done if you weren't here with me, Jennifer said.

"Don't say that Jenny. This is what friends do for each other alright, so get your a*s up from that bed, your dad is here already,” Marilyn said.

Alright, I'm coming, wow today is my wedding day, she said with a smile.

Jennifer took her father’s hand as we walked down the stairs leading to the hall.

“You look pretty my angel’, her father praises her.

“Thank you Dad,” Jennifer said blushing.

As they walked into the hall, all eyes were on her.

She can see her groom staring at her.

“But why is Gloria on the altar? Maybe she is trying to suprise me,” Jennifer thought to herself.

Jennifer stared at her soon-to-be husband's eyes as her dad gave him her hand.

Her soon-to-be husband gently took her hand and they faced the priest.

Do you Miss Jennifer Dollars take Mr Kelvin Mascot to be your lawfully wedded husband? The priest asked her.

"Yes I do", Jennifer replied softly.

Jennifer looked at her soon-to-be husband and smiled but to her greatest suprise Kelvin didn’t show any signs of happiness, he looked at Gloria and smiled, then he looked back to her and frowned.
