“I’m telling you, Jane is not efficient enough. Alex won that contract because of her carelessness!” Jackson said angrily.
He step out of his car and head towards the entrance door of my mansion.
Bright open the door and enter, Jackson followed behind and close the door with a loud bang.
“Jackson, you have to calm down” Bright said.
Jackson turned to him with anger filled eyes and he shut his mouth instantly.
“Calm down? I sent her over to Alex undercover with so much effort, and this is how she performs!” he said through gritt teeth.
” But Jackson, you know Alex is a hard nut to crack. This is just the beginning of her mission, let’s give her some time”
Jackson close his eyes and open them, his eyes were darkened in anger and hatred.
” Tell her I’ll let one mistake slide, next time if something like this happens, I’ll make her life a living hell. Alex Ray is going down!” he said and head upstairs to his room.
“Where are you going? Aren’t you gonna eat dinner?” Bright asked gesturing to the dinning table. I see food on the table already.
“I’ll be back in a few, I wanna freshen up” Jackson said and continue his journey to his room.
He speed past Mirabel on the stairs, her face bow towards the ground.
He couldn't see her face clearly and he don’t even wish to. I guess she’s the housekeeper Bright hired.
Heading downstairs, Mirabel heard his boss talking on top of his voice.
So Jackson Mark is really cold-hearted as everyone say he is, I can’t believe I was feeling regretful for agreeing to do this.
How can he plan to take someone down? How many people is he going to damage their lives? I murmured to myself.
He walks up the stairs, and I bow my head afraid of looking him in the eyes, I remember Bright specifically told me never to look Jackson in the eyes.
He slows down a little when he gets to where I was, but he didn’t stop, he continues to his room.
I quickly walk towards Bright.
“Hey, Mirabel! I see you’ve cook dinner already!”
“Yeah. Do you live here too?” I asked.
“I wish. I only acommpany Bright home, to make sure he gets home fine” he answered and begin to walk towards the dinning table. I follow closely behind.
“So what did you make?”
“Rice and vegetables salad, and some cornbread” I said.
” Wow! Jackson's favorite! I know you two will get along” he said.
Me and that life destroyer get along? Ha. In his dreams. I’ll make sure I expose his secret to the whole world.
It’s a pity someone as good as Bright is friends with that monster.
Bright makes himself comfortable in a chair. Just then Jackson comes in and sits at the head of the table.
I bow my head immediately.
“Mirabel, please serve the food!” Bright said.
“Yes, sir!” I said.
He grunts.
“Don’t start with the sir thing again, my name is Bright” he said.
” Yes, Bright”
” That’s more like it” Bright said.
I serve the food into their plates and stand aside while they begin to eat.
Bright puts a spoonful in his mouth and close his eyes, he moan at the sweetness of the food.
“Mirabel, you put your foot on this one. It’s delicious!” Bright praised me.
I couldn’t help the giggle that left my mouth.
Just when I feeling good and proud of my kitchen skills, Jackson spits out the food he puts in his mouth.
He quickly reach for his glass of water and take large gulps. He put the glass down on the table and stand up.
