EPISODE 10

” How can she become your weakness? She’s just your housekeeper and the relationship between you two is just boss and employee relationship” Bright told him.

He release a long sigh and pulls on his hair.

” You won’t understand” he sits on his swivel chair and lays back his head.

Bright sit in front of him. He have never seen Jackson worked up like this, which makes him more curious as to why he wants Mirabel gone and also why he said Mirabel will become his weakness.

“What won’t I understand?” Bright asked.

“This is not the first time I’m seeing her. I’ve seen her before and…..” He cuts himself off.

“And what?” Bright asked.

“And I think…I..I think I like her. But I had hope I never see her again, now she’s right in front of me” he said.

Bright grin. This is the first time ever, Jackson have admitted to like someone. Someone who is not him or me.

“Jackson, it’s a good thing!” I told him.

His eyes snap open.

“No! It’s not a good thing. You know I don’t do feelings, Bright. It’ll affect my business” he said.

Bright stare at him in pity. He understand his pain, he know why he doesn’t want to have feelings for anyone.

He’s been through a lot, so he really can’t blame him for trying to conceal his feelings. Bright have been with him since childhood and he witness exactly what happened to him.

But now that he’s found someone that he likes, I can’t watch him let this opportunity slip away.

He needs to let go of his dark past and embrace the future.

Jackson might appear cold on the outside, but he’s a fluffy bear inside.

I’ll look for ways to make him accept Mirabel and embrace his feelings. He really need someone in his life.

“Ok, Jackson. How about you let Mirabel stay for three weeks, I’ll teach her everything. If you still don’t like her, then I’ll fire her myself” Bright suggest.

He thinks about it for some minutes, then he shakes his head.

“Two weeks!” He said.

Hmm. Two weeks is not bad, I can make him accept his feelings then.

“Deal” Bright said and stretch his hand out for a handshake.

Jackson just stare at my hand strangely.

“What are you doing?” He asks.

“We need to finalize our deal with a handshake!” Bright said.

“Your childish makes me hate you more and more” he said with a small smile.

“You know you love me, don’t worry I love you too” Bright told him. Bright lean forward and kisses his cheek.

He pushes Bright away and wipes his cheek with a cute frown.

EPISODE 10

Desmond!! I screamed his name and he stopped the car.
" I'm sorry, I shouldn’t have....
" It’s okay, I understand you. But I didn’t say that because I pity you. Seriously, I don’t know why I said that, Desmond said and tears drops from my eyes
" I'm sorry, can you wait? I will just get my things, I said and run inside again.

(They finally got to Desmond home after the long silence drive)

" Wow.. I said softly,
Your house is a really big one, it's so beautiful.
" Does that mean I'm rich?  Desmond asked walking toward the front door.
" No, your parents are rich ” I replied and followed him.
" Hello mom, he said;
" I turned toward the woman, and wow,, she’s so beautiful.
"Hey son, you are late, she stopped immediately she saw me.
" Who is she?  She asked walking closer..
" Julie ma'am, I said with a smile.
" How are you?  she asked.
” I'm fine, thanks” I said, feeling uncomfortable already.
"Are you his girlfriend? she asked.

(Desmond and I coughed)

" No mom, she’s my friend, Desmond said and Julie nodded her head.
" Okay, but she will make a good girlfriend anyway ” mom said and smiled at me.
"Mom!!
" Oh sorry, she said and I giggle.
Julie will be staying with us for some weeks, family problem I guess, Desmond said.    
" No problem, mom replied.
" Thank you ma'am , I said with a bow.

Desmond!!!!  A girl shouted running to him, she’s about 6 years.
He never told me he’s got a sister, wow that’s cool.
"Hey Ella, how are you doing?  Desmond asked and pecked her cheek.
You promised to buy me chocolates, she said with a smile.
"Of course, I never forget,
Desmond hand over a pack of chocolate to her.
Big Bro Desmond, Who is she?  She moved closer to me and that was when I realized how pretty she is.
Is she your girlfriend?  she asked with a smile

EPISODE 9

Please don’t tell me you saw my face last night. I can’t fail on this mission before actually even starting it.

I study his stance. His shoulders tensed, his eyes darken, his fist and jaw clenched as if he’s fighting with himself.

I bow my head in confusion.

“You can’t work here. You’re fired!” He gritted out.

“Jackson man. What the hell are you saying? You can’t just fire her because of this little mistake” Bright said.

” Yeah, it’s just a little mistake. I didn’t know you don’t like spicy food” I said.

He avert his gaze to me. When he look at me, his gaze softens a little but it was a flash, his eyes harden again and turn even darker.

“I have my reason for firing you! Go pack your things and leave my house” he commands.

“Hey, hey. It hasn’t come to that yet, let’s talk about this like adults” Bright said.

I cross my arms across my chest and scoffs.

The rumors are true, all he’s good at is destroying people’s lives.

Well, I don’t think I can complete this mission, now he’s offering me opportunity to leave. I better leave before he changes his mind and kill me.

“You want me to leave? I’ll leave!” I said and turn to go upstairs, but Bright runs in front of me.

He leans towards me and whisper in my ear.

“You can’t leave, you’re the only one who I think can put up with his mood swings. And besides, I didn’t take you to be a quitter”

I think about it for a moment. He’s right. I can’t just sit back and watch Lizzy's career go down the drain without doing anything.

Even if I don’t make it out, I will make sure I help Lizzy expose Jackson’s secret.

I can manage to put up with his off and on mood swings.

A loud bang draws my attention back to Jackson.

He’s glaring daggers at Bright, if looks could kill I’m sure Bright would already be six feet under.

“Bright? In my office!” Then he marches upstairs angrily.

“Is he always like this?” I asked.

“Yeah. Especially to new people, but you will like him when you get to know him”

“Hmm, yeah right”.

“I’ll be right back. Please don’t leave yet” he said and hurrys off.

Bright is easy going and easy to please too. I wish he was my boss.

Bright enters Jackson's home office. He see Jackson standing by the window, looking out of the window.

I bet he’s got the best view in his office, you can see the beautiful of LA from his window.

“Jackson, I…”

“I don’t wanna hear it, Bright. She can’t work here” he said. He turn around to face me.

“Ok, tell me why you don’t want her to work for you?” Bright asked.

Jackson avert his gaze from Bright and begin to look around. Bright could see Jackson's face turning red, he’s blushing.

“Because she’ll become my weakness, I can’t let that happen” he said.

Become your weakness?

(Desmond was moved by my tears)

" I'm sorry Julie, but trust me this time, she tried patting me.
" Just leave me alone!  I yelled and went upstairs.

Julie's mother sigh and turned to Desmond.

" Who are you?  she asked checking him out.
" I'm Desmond, I said with a bow
" Are you Julie’s boyfriend?  She asked and Desmond chocked.
" What.. I'm.... "
" Help me take care of her please, I know she’s angry with me right now, but I'm just... I need to do this ” she said and Desmond nodded.
" I'm leaving, she said and went out, while Desmond watched as she drove out of the compound.
" You are still here? I  asked coming downstairs.
" I was about leaving, Desmond said.
" Okay bye, see you tomorrow;  she said and turned to leave.
" Will you be.. uhm...be okay by yourself?  Desmond asked.
" What if I'm not? she raised her brow.
" You can sleep over at my house, and we can watch the movies together. It will be fun, he said without realizing where it came from.
" Why are you suddenly acting nice? Do you pity me? Or you really want to do this.... excuse me but I hate it when people pity me ” I said and went up.

O.M.G, did I say something wrong? Should I go meet her? What if she get more angry?
But I really didn’t pity her,, I just think that’s the best, she took it in the wrong way.
Desmond sigh and walked out.

(Julie's Room)

I just made a mistake, I shouldn’t have talked that way. I need to go meet him right now, yeah.
I rushed out of my room and ran downstairs, oh no he’s going.

(Desmond in deep thought)

What are you thinking? Jack tapped Desmond and he snapped out of my thought.
" uhm.. nothing, Desmond replied
"Are you thinking about Julie? ” Jack winked.
" Who is that? Desmond asked facing his book.
" Are you kidding me?
" I'm not a kid,  he replied.
"Don't tell me that you're in love with that girl already, Thomas winked.
" I'm not, that will never happen.. Desmond said standing up.

Desmond started walking by the hall way and then someone drag him to the bathroom.
Gosh ,what the hell who is this? he  asked and turn only to find me.. I winked at him..
" What do you want? Desmond asked;
(I took a deep breath) nothing really. I just miss you, I pouted my lips towards him.
" Funny, he said and started walking out.
" Wait.. I pulled him back.
What do you.. I kissed him before he could finish his sentence and he was shock too when he returned my kiss. Then unlock from the kiss and ran off.
" What just happened? Did I just.... Desmond asked himself.

He walked out and went back to class, he looked around for me but he couldn’t find her.
I think am going crazy already, he said.

(AFTER CLASS)

Why did you do that earlier?  Desmond asked as we entered his car," And why do you want me to take you home?
"As you can see ,my car is not here. So take me home, I replied.
" Okay, he said and drove to me house in silence.

We got home and I got down.
You can come in if you want, I said and he also got down.
We entered the house and I introduced my lookalike mother to Desmond. She seems to be in a hurry.
" Mom, is everything okay? I asked.
" Yeah baby, I need to go somewhere really important right now, she replied without looking up.
" Business again? I asked in a hurtful manner.
" I'm sorry, but trust me. It's just for a week, and I will be back; mom said.
" Same thing you said the last time and you ended up using one month, I replied in tears.

(Desmond was moved by my tears)

EPISODE 8

Just when I feeling good and proud of my kitchen skills, Jackson spits out the food he puts in his mouth.

He quickly reach for his glass of water and take large gulps. He put the glass down on the table and stand up.

“What the hell is this?!” Jackson roars.

“What is it, Jackson?” Bright asked.

“It’s so spicy!” He said.

I bow my head even more and close my eyes, afraid to look up at his expression.

My whole body is shaking in fear right now.

I know I can’t make it out alive, but I didn’t expect my death to come so fast.

“I told you to put her through all the things she needs to know, why didn’t you tell her?”

“I did, but..”

“But what Bright? Why did she make the food so spicy?. Instead of telling her what to do, you were getting acquainted with her!” Jackson said.

“Jackson, calm down. I can ask her to make something else for you” Bright said trying to cool him down.

Jackson bangs his hand on the table, and I flinched back a little.

“Why the hell is she bowing her head like that?” Jackson asked.

” You said she shouldn’t look you in the eyes, remember? She’s trying to avoid your eyes” Bright explain.

” Raise your dumb head, I wanna see your face!” He said.

I slowly raise my head. And my eyes falls open when I see his face.

” You?!”

” You?!”

We both exclaimed.

Oh, no! This is bad, how can it be? My one night stand is actually my boss? I have my virginity to the almighty Jackson Mark?

Why do I always have the ugliest luck in life. What if he recognizes me, what will I do?

This is bad.

"Gosh, but I never asked for ice-cream, he said.

I put the ice cream in his mouth.

" What the hell are you doing? he asked angrily.

" Just lick it, I said and he did. How does it taste like? ” I asked.

" Bad, he smirk.

" You know it’s a lie, I said sadly.

That’s the truth, your taste is really bad  he said.

" Idiot.. I muttered.

"Double idiot..he replied.

" Stupid, I said loudly

"Funky Julie ” he said.

" What? How can you call me that ” I shouted and Desmond laughed.

" Of course you are funky, He said.

" I'm not, I said;

" Okay, I'm not in for arguments.. he surrendered.

" Finally you know I'm the boss, I said and he stopped immediately and turned to me.

"You are really the boss? he asked and I nodded.

He started walking to me while I move backward until my back hits the wall. Oh my God what is he planning to do?

He lean down to my face since he’s taller than me, his frankincense feel my nose, he smell so nice.

Is he trying to kiss me? Just do it please, but I must not admit it, I murmured to myself.

" What are you doing? You are not allowed to touch me, I said.

" So what if I do? he asked with a smirk.

" 100 dollars.. I replied.

" What ? Just a touch?

" Yeah, I replied;

" How about a hug? He asked

" 200 dollars" I replied.

He lean closer that I could now feel his breath.

" And a kiss? he asked looking at my lips.

"1000 dollars!! I blurted out.

He laughed out loud

"I can’t possibly kiss you , he said

" What do you mean? I asked him.

" You should know. He replied still laughing hard.

I pouted and we started walking again.

" You want me to kiss you right?  He asked and I choked;

If you want me to, you can just ask, he said and grin.

"Stupid, just kiss me... I said looking down.

"See, I knew it.. You really want my kiss” he said;

" So? 

" You have to pay 1000 dollars before I kiss you, he said

" What? But I was just joking, I raised an eyebrow.

" Then forget about the kiss ” he said
