” I told you right? You will be the one begging me “: I whispered to Desmond.
” Did I do that? ” Desmond whispers back.
” Yeah sure ” I replied.
” So, what if I was joking? ” Desmond said.
” Are you crazy? You won’t dare do that!! ” I said.
” See who is begging now? ” Desmond winked.
” I wasn’t begging ” I defended.
” So what? ” Desmond asked.
” I'm going to kill you if you leave me, ” I smirk.
” What? That’s too harsh ” Desmond said.
” You won’t leave me right? ”
” I can’t ” Desmond said and kissed me
” Get a room!! ” They screamed and we left each other immediately.
” Gosh, are guys crazy? ”
” Guys!!!! Let’s dance!!!!! ” They shouted and climb the chair.
” Yeah!!!! ” Julie said.
” Hey brother can you get me a cup of milk? ” Ella said with a pleading face.
” You little brat, you can see I'm having fun right now. Go tell one of the maids, ” Desmond snapped.
” No I want you to get it for me ” she pouted.
” Gosh, okay let’s go ”
” I told you I'm going to make you suffer for yelling at me ” Desmond heard Ella talking silently.

Desmond turned back immediately

” You baby demon, how dare you do that!!!! ” Desmond yelled and she ran away while he follow.
” help guys, Desmond wants to bite me ” she shouted and everyone turned to Desmond laughing loudly.
” What? Bite? Gosh!!! I am going crazy already ” Desmond shouted and went upstairs.
I wish I never had a Sister, mine act like a baby demon. A kid brother would be better.
” Hey biter ” Julie said and entered Desmond room.
” Don’t call me that ” he said.
” But she said you wanted to bite her ”
” Why will I do that, I told you that kid is a devil ” Desmond scoff.
” Don’t say that to her, I really wish I have a sister ”.
” Then you can take her ” Desmond said and laid his back on the bed.
” She’s your sister no matter what, just a little bit crazy ”.
“I know, and I love her ”.
” She’s cute ” I said.
” You are cuter ” he said and I blushed.
” Now let’s go back ”.
” Not until I finish what we started downstairs ” Desmond winked.
” And what was that? ” I asked blushing.
He stood up and pulled me closer,” This ” he said and lock his lips with mine.

A Night with Mr Arrogant (Episode 17)

EPISODE 17

The drive from the mansion to Mark's enterprises was a short but silent one.

Victor didn’t say anything after learning that Jackson Mark is my boss.

Maybe Jackson has hurt his family too, but I guess he doesn’t want to talk about it. So I didn’t bother asking.

He parked his car in the parking lot, he step out and open my door for me. I step out and tells him a thank you.

“Are you coming inside with me?” I asked.

” No. I’ll wait for outside” he said with a frown.

” Oh, ok. I’ll be fast” I said and head inside the building.

I walk straight to the receptionist.

” Good afternoon” I greeted her.

She raise her head and flashes me a welcoming smile.

“Good afternoon. How may I be of service?” She asks.

” I’m Mirabel Johnson, and I’m here to drop Mr Jackson Mark’s lunch” I said.

“Ok, just wait a minute let me call him to confirm” she said.

” There will be no need for that. I can give it to you so that you can take it to him yourself, I have somewhere to be right now” I told her.

” I’m sorry ma’am, I can’t do that” she said.

” Pleaseeeee, help a sister” I said and give her my best puppy eyes.

She breaks into a smile.

“Alright”

“Thank you so much” I put the flask on her desk and turn to leave.

Suddenly, I hear a voice, well Jackson's voice to be precised, on the speaker.

“I want Mirabel Johnson in my office right now!” His voice boomed in the speaker and all the workers begin to look around, looking for Mirabel Johnson, I guess.

But how did he know I’m here? How can he see me?.

The receptionist taps my shoulder and I turn to her.

“Mr mark wants to see you, I advise you better go to his office now. You don’t want to get on his bad side” she said.

Well, you don’t need to tell me. I’ve experienced his bad temper first class.

“Where’s his office?” I asked her.

“59th floor. You can take the elevator or do you prefer the stairs?” She tease.

” I’m good with the elevator, thanks” I said..

I head to the elevator, I enter and press the 59th floor button. The elevator ride took forever, finally I arrived at the floor.

I step out of the elevator and met with a long passage, I follow it and arrived in front of a big oak door.

Jackson Mark! Boldly written on the frame.

His office is the only one in this floor. I knock on the door and hear a faint come in.

I open the door and step in. My mouth hung open at the sight, it’s marvelous. I look around in awe.

“Are you just gonna stand there or you are gonna come in?” I hear Jackson’s voice ask.

EPISODE 16

“Give me your phone” he said.

I gave it to him. He begin to type on it. After typing he gives it back to me, I see his number on it, saved Jackson Mark.

“That’s my number, call me when the lunch is ready” he turns to Bright, “Let’s go” then he heads out.

James gives me thumbs up and rushes after Jackson.

Okay…. What just happened?

Anyway, I carry on with my morning chores.

By the time I’m done with my morning chores, it’s already 11:50am. I grunt, I guess I won’t get any rest before I prepare Jackson's lunch.

That Jackson guy deserve some spanking.

I get on with Jackson's lunch, halfway through my phone beep.

I pick it up from the counter and see it’s Victor calling me. I press the answer button and bring the phone closer to my ear.

Me:- hey Vic, what’s up?

Vic:- hey, Mirabel, I was hoping you are free so that we can have that lunch we talked about last time..

Me:- Oh.

I think I can use some time away from this house, also I need a tour around LA. And Vic can make an excellent tour guide.

Me:- ok, sure.

Victor:- perfect. I’ll pick you up, send me your address.

Me:- sure!.

I hang up and text Victor the address of this house.

I pack up the food in a flask and head to my room to take a bath. After bathing I changed into a blue crop top and a black jeans bumshort. I wear my sneakers and head out.

I didn’t wait long, before a car, a range rover sports stops in front of me. The door open and Victor steps out.

“Woah! I didn’t take you to be a rich guy” I said.

“I try not to brag. Anyway, where are we going?” He asks.

” Well, first of, I don’t know anywhere here in LA. Second, I’m gonna drop this at my boss’s office first” I told him.

” Alright, I know the perfect spot to take you. Hop in let’s drop your boss’s lunch first” he leads me to the passenger side and open the door.

Hmmm. He’s such a gentleman, unlike that cold Jackson.

I enter and he close the door, he round the car and sits on the driver’s seat..

“I have to call my boss to ask for direction” I told him.

” No problem”

I dialed Jackson's number, he pick on the first ring. It’s almost as if he was waiting for the call.

“Mirabel” he said.

I roll my eyes. He have a funny way of answering calls..

“Your lunch is ready, I need directions to your office, sir”

He stays silent for a moment.

“Tell the cab driver to bring to Mark's enterprises Inc” he said.

“Please take me to Mark’s enterprises Inc”

” Alright” he starts the car and begin to drive. “So, Jackson Mark is your boss?”

“Yeah. Any problem?” I asked.

He hesitate a little.

” No” he answered.

” So tell me why you pretended all this while, ” I asked as we walk in the moonlight with ice cream in our hands.

” Let’s just say I was a fool not to discover so soon, ” Desmond replied and she stopped.

” So now, how do you feel about me? ”

“Do I need to answer that? Julie, I love you so much ” Desmond said.

” More than I do? ” I raised an eyebrow.

” Maybe ” Desmond smirk and we laughed.

” We need to go home right now, Ella will be waiting ” I said dragging Desmond along with me.

” Gosh, lets wait for some minutes ” Desmond said.

” No we can’t ”.

“yes we can ”.

” You are so stubborn ” he said.

” I know ”.

” But it’s late already ”.

” Okay, lets leave ”.

We got home and everywhere was beaming with light and different sounds coming out, Desmond and I faced each other and then back to the house

” What is going on? ” Desmond asked.

” No idea ” Desmond's mom replied and we entered.

” The couples are here!!!!! ” they screamed.

What?

” What are you guys doing? ” I

Desmond asked looking confused.

” Remember the deal? You promised not to fall in love with her ” Jack said and winked.

” But, now what? ” Thompson said loudly.

” Gosh, you guys are something else, ” Desmond said with a grin.

” I told you right? You will be the one begging me “: I whispered to Desmond.

I know Jackson, he’s trying to deny the fact that he likes Mirabel, but as his best friend, I’m not going let him. I’ll provoke him to accept his feelings, and judging from what I’m seeing my plan is working.

He’s already getting jealous!!, Bright whispered to himself..

“It’s my business when she’s employee” Jackson said.

” Well, she’s just your employee and nothing more, right? So I have every right to ask her out for lunch” Bright said.

” You can’t! ” Jackson said.

” I can and I will” Bright said.

Hellooo? I’m right here.

Bright turned to me and goes down on his knees, he takes my hand and place a kiss on it..

“Oh, my sweet Lady. Would you please have lunch with me this afternoon?” He asked me in a very funny British accent.

I giggled at his childish behavior and failed British accent.

“Oh my kind sir….” I begin in my own British accent, but Jackson marches towards us angrily.

He takes my hand from Bright and wipes the place James kiss.

“Sorry, Bright. She’ll be so busy and won’t have the time to have lunch with you” Jackson said.

I frown.

” Sir, I don’t have any chores later in the afternoon” I said.

“Yes, you do. You bring my lunch to my office” he said.

I turn to Bright, and mouths to him that bringing in his lunch wasn’t on the list.

James just smile and wink at me.

I guess I can’t argue or I might lose my job.

“But sir, I don’t know where your office is”

He opens his palm in front of me.

“Give me your phone” he said.

I gave it to him. He begin to type on it. After typing he gives it back to me, I see his number on it, saved Jackson Mark.

” Come on Ella, that diagram almost make me want to faint. It’s an absolute rubbish ” Desmond said.
” But, Julie said it’s beautiful, ” she faced me with a sad face.
” I'm telling you the truth sweetheart, it’s beautiful, ” I said and she cheered up immediately.
” Yeah!!! Thanks ” she said.
” Hey we need to talk ” Desmond said pulling me up
” We have nothing to talk about ” i said and push his hand off from mine and walked out of the room.
He ran after me until we entered the guestroom.
” But, I already told you what you want to hear ” he said and I scoff.
” Just like that? Desmond I don’t want to force you to say that, I know you don’t feel the same way I feel for you, so lets just forget about everything ” I said.
” And how the hell do you expect me to forget? ” He asked and pulled me to himself .” All those memories keep on coming, I can’t forget about it Julie. ”
” So what? ” I asked sounding uninterested.
” I love you... I really do ” he said.
” You sure? ” I asked.
” Gosh, you need to believe me ” he said.
” Okay, now let go of me ” I said getting away from his grip.
” Not until I do this ” he said starring at my lips.
” what? ”
And he kissed me!!!

” What? You guys are dating? ” I asked.

” Uhm... I......”

” No, don’t talk to me anymore ” I snapped.

” Julie, please ”.

” I can’t believe this, I thought we were friends ” I said.

”I'm  sorry ” Ella apologized.

Finally it’s our last class for today, I took my backpack and walked toward the car.

” Let’s leave ” Desmond said and started driving home, I focus my attention on my phone.

” Hey, how about we go have some fun tomorrow? It’s Saturday, ” Desmond said but I kept quiet even though I'm really interested in having fun.

” I'm talking to you Julie, ” he said but I did not respond.

We got home and I got out of the car almost immediately.

” Julie,” Desmond ran after me and I ignored him while walking upstairs

” I'm talking to you!! ” He pull me back with force.

” I don’t want to talk to you!! Don’t you understand?!!! ” I yelled back pointing my finger at him.

” Why? ” he asked.

” And why do you even bother about me? ” I asked looking down.

” And why do you think I'm not bothered? ” he fired back immediately.

” I don’t know, you should have an answer to that but I don’t care ” I said walking toward the guestroom.

” I love you ” He said and I stopped.

” Good to hear ” I said.

” That’s what you want to hear right ” He said.

” Not anymore, ” I replied and walked in .

I don’t want to force you before you tell me that.

” Hey Julie, see this, ” Ella (Desmond sister) said dragging my hand along with her to her room.

” What is it? ” I asked.

” Just come with me, it’s a surprise ” She said.

We entered her room and I sat on the bed, she came to me and show me a diagram

” What is this? ” I asked.

” It’s you, I drew you” She said happily.

” What? Am I the one here? ” I asked almost laughing but I won’t wanna hurt her feelings.

” yeah, do you like it? ” she asked.

” Like? I love it” I said and pecked her cheek.

” See, brother. I told you I'm the best ” she said and that was when I looked back and saw Desmond standing there.
