Episode 8
Lucy was getting bored of the party and her gaze stray to where Donald is standing, she noticed he’s bored too but the man with him is clearly having fun. As a CEO, he should sleep early and lay an example to his employees.
Lucy picked a glass cup and a spoon. She hit the spoon on the glass till there was a perfect silence. “Thanks for coming to the dinner night everyone. The night has come to an end. Kindly go home and sleep, cheers” she said to them. Soon they began leaving in twos and threes.
She walked over to where Donald was standing, looking at her in shock “Go to bed too”.
“Hey, I’m Pat, his best friend and personal assistant. I’ve heard so much about you” the man beside him gushed.
“Hey Pat, go to bed too”
She saw the last guests off then locked the door.
The house was a mess but it’s nothing she couldn’t handle after a good night rest.
She walked to her room very tired. She had barely hit her head in the pillow when she closed my eyes to sleep.
Now I’m convinced that girl was sent by my mother, she isn’t a maid as she claims to me, Elvis said angrily.
Pat went home late last night so he wouldn’t get scolded by his wife.
Elvis phone rang, he looked at the caller’s ID and hit ignore. Seconds later, a message came in.
I love you too baby, you have no idea what your words mean to me. You should have told me instead of Lucy. love mum.
He hit the reply button furiously; Okay ma’am, I don’t know what you must have heard from your Ally. Just know it’s quite the opposite. I don’t love you and never will. It would be better if you tell her to leave my bloody house, he replied and dressed up for the day’s work in anger.
Elvis stomach rumbled in anger as he remembered last night. He had wanted to serve himself food when Lucy came over and said the food is solely for guests and since he's not one, he have no right to eat it. He had no choice than to leave quietly in order not to cause a scene.
